When Rivers returns, Foster said it's going to be his turn again to prove he still has the ingredients that made him a dynamic tackler last season. Until then, the middle-linebacker role belongs to Taylor.
"It's a performance industry," Foster said. "I think (Taylor) felt like he had to go out and prove his way. You've got to earn your success, and you have to earn your way on the field. It's not just going to be given to you because you're a highly recruited kid.
