Per a source, Virginia Tech transfer Dorian Finney-Smith has decided on Florida. He chose the Gators over Iowa State, Louisville, Marquette and others.
Finney-Smith is a 6-foot-8 forward who decided to leave the Hokies after the firing of Seth Greenberg. Reports indicate, however, that Finney-Smith had pondered the transfer even before the coaching change.
It never looked like Doe-Doe was comfortable at Tech. It'll never be known whether that was because of Seth's system, the tinkering of his mechanics, Blacksburg itself, or none of the above. Virginia Tech isn't the best fit for everyone, athletes are no exemption. Even though he struggled to be a consistent scorer, he's a terrific prospect. Had he remained at Tech would have been counted on this season. Best of luck to him at Florida.
