For the second time in as many seasons, Virginia Tech football's offseason discussion will center around a quarterback competition. Jerod Evans' early entry to the NFL combined with Brenden Motley's expired eligibility left the Hokies' QB depth in a tenuous position. Justin Fuente and Co. acted quickly and convinced prized 2017 recruit Hendon Hooker to enroll early, and former Iowa Western and Nebraska signal caller A.J. Bush transferred mid-year as well. And although this review will focus on scholarship QBs, Tech added former Kansas Jayhawks QB Ryan Willis as a walk-on.
