After a miserable loss, Virginia Tech faced the wrong kind of opponent for a bounce back game. The Duke Blue Devils are a very well coached football team with a talented defense and an excellent quarterback. Ahead of the prime-time matchup, Duke was undefeated with several quality road wins even after QB Daniel Jones missed substantial time due to a broken clavicle. Furthermore, the No. 22 Blue Devils have historically been punching bags for the Hokies, and you knew David Cutcliffe team would not let down after a glorified scrimmage against N.C. Central the previous week.
