Teel Time - Numbers Flatter VT after 10 ACC seasons

One of the high points for me, which I'm sure plenty will debate was this statement:

Now some Virginia Tech faithful I believe its a very small minority say Beamers age (67) and the teams recent struggles dictate a change. After all, they point out, the Hokies havent won the ACC since gasp! 2010 and havent been ranked in the final top 10 since 2009.

No, no, a thousand times no. Beamer doesnt deserve the bums rush.

As recently as 2011, Virginia Tech defeated three ranked teams on the road: Marshall, Georgia Tech and Virginia. The Hokies received the ACCs first Bowl Championship Series at-large bid that season, and if not for a dubious replay reversal of an overtime touchdown, likely would have beaten Michigan to conclude the first 12-win season in program history.
