Newest episode of the podcast covering what went on since Liz's injury. Think it covers a whole lot of stuff and they definitely are a bit more unfiltered with it. Some of my thoughts:

1. Anyone who threatens or harasses Georgia (or any college student in general) deserves to step on legos every night when they wake up to go to the bathroom.

2. There is a lot to digest with Georgia's thoughts and some things seem to slip out. Obviously, I'm disappointed by her leaving, and being a figure in a community, you are going to get criticism. She kind of just followed Kenny's lead by not only going with him, but she was pretty quiet. Yes, she thanked Hokie Nation, but then she went pretty silent. I think people thought because she is so charasmatic that she would still maintain that, but by being silent it probably just amplifies the negative comments and drives the divide further. She basically says that Blacksburg sucks which makes it a lot easier for people to be fine with her leaving.

2.1. I think the biggest reveal here is Georgia saying "no one on the team really talks to me anymore." That really says a lot about some of the stuff that had to go on. Georgia seems so outgoing and easy to get along with, it seems like she would have deeper bonds with girls she spent years playing with that wouldn't be broken just by transferring.

3. I take a bit of an issue with them saying the Kenny was giving everything to the team before he left. We know he was negotiating and we know he was recruiting for UK before he left. It's also a bit concerning that they recognized that Liz was basically the whole team and they had to completely rethink the team when she went down. A good coach shouldn't base the entire team on one player and should have inspired a bit more confidence in the rest of the team that he had a plan.

4. Makes me sad that they feel like all the support for the team is gone. I, for one, am excited about the new coach and so many players that are returning. While we may not come out as a top 10 initially, I think they will immediately be competitive.

5. Glad to hear that Liz is taking this opportunity as a positive opportunity to learn so much about the process before jumping into actually playing. I did laugh whe she said, "why would they pay me a salary, I'm not contributing anything?" Come to my work where I say that about dozens of people who get paid more than me.
