"We are very happy where we are," athletic director Jim Weaver said Thursday. "We're in the right place for Virginia Tech because we're in the footprint of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

"At this point in time we're not even thinking about [the SEC]."

For the most part, Weaver is firm with stating the ACC is VT's home for the foreseeable future. However, he leaves a little bit of wiggle room in case the SEC does come a callin'.

The Austin-American Statesman is quoting a long-time "SEC veteran" as saying Duke and Carolina are on the SEC's "dream" list along with Texas and Texas A&M.
