Byers is also in the mix if Ryan Odom gets hired away from VCU to go there. This wouldn't be the blow that losing Kevin Giltner would but would just add to Mike Young's very long list of changes needed in the program.

I mean it should be easy to sell come to a program that has very little expectations and everyone leaves with a better job because Mike Young is that good of a mentor. We should be getting some of the best young coaches.
this morning's Roanoke Times says that it will be Zach Chu, men's basketball strategist at SMU. Never been a head coach or a college assistant coach, according to the paper.
Yeah seeing that from Jeff Goodman. Odd move. Big analytics guy apparently.
Well Young needs two more assistants anyway, not much different if he has to hire three.
I'm a little shocked that Webby hasn't left to become a HC. Makes me believe there's an under-the-table HCIW deal with him.
Would be surprised if that was in place over Giltner. Giltner does the play design and strategy in the huddles. Not an end all of course but always seems Young's #2
Sure. JMO but post-NIL, the "CEO-type" HC is more en vogue than the X's and O's HC.
Being a HC is becoming less and less about coaching.
