Combine Invites

According to multiple reports, five Hokie seniors have gotten invites to the NFL Combine: Marcus Davis, Bruce Taylor, Corey Fuller, Nick Becton and Vincent Painter. Obviously if Logan Thomas, James Gayle or Antone Exum declared, they would be invited too.

This may have sounded crazy in August, but I think Painter has a legitimate shot to be the highest drafted Tech senior in April. The man is not only built like a tank, well more like an aircraft carrier, but has tons of measurables that will wow scouts in Indianapolis. Of course if Marcus Davis goes all Stephen Hill in his workouts he could go even higher, but I wouldn't be shocked Painter raises his stock enough to go early round 4, maybe even earlier. Teams love athletic tackles.

But congratulations to all five guys, they have earned it after surviving this season.
