To me, I think the best thing to happen to Logan over the past couple of months was his bad play in the scrimmage this past weekend. Let's face it, the hype surrounding him was quickly getting out of control and the expectations were almost cartoonish. By reading post from around the internet, it seems fans are instantly worried about how he will play. In reality, we just got a glimpse of what we should all expect -a first year quarterback who will experience ups and downs, moments of glory and costly mistakes. I talked with a college buddy yesterday about this topic and reiterated how I am assuming what I've been calling a "Sean Glennon type season" - 12-15 touchdowns with 10-12 INTs. Anything better -a Bryan Randall type, 20 TDs, 8 INT season -should be considered a success. In 2008, Tyrod ended the year with 2 TDs and 7 picks while Glennon tossed 3 TDs to go with 5 INTs. We still won the ACC that year and I don't see Logan having a 5 TD, 12 INT season with the 2008 receivers now in their senior years. If he does, we may become very familiar with Mark Leal.
So what do you guys think? Are your expectations more tempered after his recent performance? Are you more concerned? Were you waiting for a bad outing?
