A long pursuit paid off when Virginia Tech picked up a commitment from 5-11, 185 pound JUCO wide receiver/cornerback Henri Muphy. Murphy opted for the Hokies over Arkansas while on a visit in Blacksburg. Justin Fuente and Co. have recruited Muphy since their tenure at Memphis.

Murphy was originally slated as a class of 2017 prospect, but he informed The Key Play he will enroll at Virginia Tech in July as part of Tech's 2016 class. The East Central Community College standout will have three years to play two in maroon and orange according to ECCC head coach Ken Karcher in a June 7 interview.
The 247Sports Composite rates Murphy as a 3-star prospect.
