I noticed on Bleacher Report that Randy Chambers wrote that Beamer is on the "Hot Seat". This was another article that I felt was going nowhere fast. But it was a article that made me think a little. Is Beamer losing his edge? Is it really time for Beamer to step down? Would we be successful under a younger coach? Should Foster be his replacement? I know its a lot to consider and a lot of questions to take in. But it made me wonder were we as a program going the same route that Penn State went with Paterno towards the end of his career, or with Florida State when Bowden was there. I'd hate to see him fired and I don't believe that he will be fired I think he's done a lot to help this program from nothing where we are today.
I think that he's going leave on his own terms and that he's even mentioned in his book that he knows when its time to leave. I wanted him to get back to the Championship game one more time. And he still has the opportunity maybe next year or the year after.
What do you guys think? Do you think its time for Beamer to consider retirement?
