We're Getting Ready Are YOU?

Coach London is working overtime on the Reach Out to Fans step of the UVa FAIL CHART. This short video was played across the Commonwealth after Monday's fantastic NCAA Basketball Championship. In it London asks the Hoos to, "please join us as we build the future of Virginia football."

A couple of times during the commercial a phone number was flashed on the screen.

Since I'm a huge sucker for numbers appearing on my television —I own a Slap Chop, several Twin Draft Guards, and Point n Paint— I decided to give it a call.

Thank you for calling the Virginia Athletic's Ticket Office, ..., please hold for a ticket office representative.

*HOLDING*

*RINGING*

Me: Hi, I'm calling because I saw the video after the basketball game last night. I want to learn more about how Coach London is going to turn around the football team. May I speak with him please?

Representative: Um uh, sir, let me give you the number of the football office.

Me: OK.

Rep: In area code 434 it's xxx-xxxx.

Me: Have a good day.

Rep: You-Hoo-too!

Me: Hi, I'm calling because I saw the video after the basketball game last night. I want to learn more about how Coach London is going to turn around the football team. May I speak with him please?

Secretary: Sorry, but he's at practice. May I take a message?

Me: Maybe you can help me then? Before I buy my tickets I want to know if he's guaranteeing a bowl appearance...

Secretary: Um...

Me: ...win over Virginia Tech?

Secretary: I'm not sh...

Me: Hmm, well... A little reassurance would have been nice. I can't handle another 3-9 season.

Secretary: I know it's been tough to watch.

Me: Tough, no painful, last year I gave myself a minor hernia laughing so hard at you guys. Go Hokies!
