Welp after a quarter of screaming at my TV and the egregious PI call last week I broke out the whiskey and everything turned out A-OK. Coincidence? I think not! This week I will be carrying this around with me
yes the hospital is already on speed dial
Unfortunately I once more have to keep this very brief due to class starting in 25 minutes and my stomach demanding food, so here we go!
Its another boring but good outlook for the weather in the mid atlantic this weekend. A high has parked its butt right over the region keeping Jose off shore (yay) to spin at its hearts content. As I mentioned in another thread, this has probably lead to the making of spectacular waves all along the northern atlantic seaboard for surfers. Really the only thing worth keeping an eye on in the weather land is hurricane Maria which recently battered puerto rico and left literally the entire island without power. While it weakened over Puerto Rico it has since strengthened again as it makes its trek up the coast line. Luckily it steers north much quicker than Irma throwing it out into the Atlantic for now, but its definitely worth keeping an eye on. The most recent run has pushed it out a bit more but a close eye must be kept on it.
So how does this impact the weather for the weekend you may ask? Well it doesn't at all. I just dont have much to talk about as far as weather goes for our game, which is great news! The game should be super mild, with highs in the low 80s and lows dipping down to around 60 that evening. There should be some scattered clouds with next to no wind. It might be a tad muggy but shouldn't be as bad as the WVU game at Fedex and it should be glorious all day resulting in some good tailgating weather!
Yay Tailgating!
I do have some synoptic discussion to get into, it appears that the entire system is starting to give way to a much more fall based weather pattern. Expect temperatures to start dropping here in the next week or two.
(for those not familiar why I cant really do a huge write-up heres a good bit of info http://docweather.com/2/show/63/)
What does this mean for the game? Well weather should play little to no factor in our final game before the biggun. This has trap game written all over it, however I dont think ODU has quite the athletes to make us pay for it. Wouldn't be shocked to see a pattern similar to ECU, that is we get off to a little bit of a slow start and then WHALLOP them. ODU's coach was on my radio a few days ago and was reported saying
this is the most talented team weve ever faced, and one of the better VT teams in a while. All we can do is put our head down and try to take it one drive at a time
After complaining about injuries on offense for a bit. I think we win this one pretty big lining us up for college gameday next week. Fuente has these boys focused
Final predictions
High - 83
Low - 61
Partly Cloudy
Light winds (think like 5 mph gusts tops)
A weeee bit humid
No precip
GO HOKIES!!!!!
2 Quick sidenotes: Fantasy football power rankings will be up this evening/afternoon and yours truly will be at the Clemson game to at the very least tailgate my butt off!
