Icon Sports Consulting LLC announced via its Twitter and Facebook Zohn Burden would remain on Justin Fuente's Virginia Tech coaching staff as running backs coach. Burden appears to be a client of the sports management firm. CoachingSearch.com also reported Burden will be retained as running backs coach. Burden is in his first season coaching wide receivers for the Hokies.
A Virginia Tech spokesman was unable to confirm the news at this juncture.
Previously, Virginia Tech officially announced Vance Vice (OL), Holmon Wiggins (WRs), and James Shibest (TEs, ST) as offensive coaches that will be part of Fuente's staff in 2016. Memphis co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brad Cornelsen is reportedly the Hokies' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, and will join Tech's staff after Tigers' bowl game.
